5 Wedding Day Photo Tips You’ll Want To Remember

Your wedding day is one of the most important moments of your life, and I want to help ensure it goes as smoothly as possible. As your wedding photographer, part of my role is to guide you through the process and share Wedding Day Photo Tips from my experience. I’m here to help you understand what to expect, so we can cover all the key moments and make your day as seamless and memorable as possible.

1.Include some downtime in your wedding timeline

Your wedding day should feel seamless and enjoyable, not like a constant race against time. That’s why I offer full-day coverage (up to 10 hours), allowing us to create a well-organized timeline that flows effortlessly, rather than one that feels rigid or overly structured. This way, you can savor every moment without the pressure of rushing or feeling overwhelmed. I also make sure there’s dedicated downtime for just the two of you to step away, relax, and enjoy each other’s company, away from the photos and the crowd.

2.Gather Your Key Wedding Details in One Spot:

A helpful pro tip for your wedding day is to gather all your meaningful details—such as invitations, rings, shoes, jewelry, and perfume—into one box. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, whether it’s a sturdy shoebox or even an old Amazon box, as long as it keeps everything together. This simple step makes it easy for us to dive straight into capturing those beautiful detail shots and flat lays, telling the story of your wedding day from the smallest touches to the grandest moments.

3.The Best Time For Your Ceremony is Around Sunset

I recommend scheduling your ceremony at least two hours before sunset. Keep in mind that sunset times vary depending on the time of year. This will allow us to capture family photos, couple portraits, bridal party photos, and all those special moments before the sun dips, ensuring we make the most of that soft, creamy, and beautiful light.

4.Fully Experience The Moment:

The most beautiful photos happen when you’re simply being yourselves, enjoying the moment as newlyweds, and soaking in the joy of your day. That genuine magic will shine through every time you look back on these images. So take a moment, breathe, and let it all sink in—you’re creating memories that will last a lifetime. Enjoy every second, be true to who you are, and let me capture that love and authenticity.

5.Treasure Your Couple Portraits as Intimate Moments Just For The Two of You:

Your portraits are more than just photographs—they capture the moment when you officially become husband and wife. It’s the day you make promises to each other, to cherish and love. These portraits are all about the two of you, and they should be a time of joy and connection. Often, it’s a moment when my couples and I step away from the crowds to create something intimate and personal. Many of my couples cherish this time because, with all the excitement of the day, it can fly by so quickly. I make sure your couple portraits are relaxed, celebratory, and uniquely yours. When you book with me, this time is all about celebrating your love and creating lasting memories—moments you’ll look back on and remember how you felt.
