Lizzette and Andrew’s intimate wedding at the Cheney Mansion in Oak Park, IL was such a beautiful celebration—elegant, heartfelt, and full of timeless moments.
Even though it was a November wedding and the weather was definitely on the chilly side, we were able to stay inside for their ceremony, family photos, and portraits—and honestly, Cheney Mansion is the perfect venue for that. The indoor spaces are absolutely stunning, with classic architecture, rich textures, and that true historic mansion feel that makes every image look refined and elevated.
One of my favorite parts of the day was how soft and flattering the light was throughout the venue. It created the most romantic glow for Lizzette and Andrew’s portraits, making everything feel warm and dreamy. Especially in contrast to the cold outdoors. From the grand staircase to the elegant rooms and charming details throughout, there are so many gorgeous corners to photograph. Every backdrop feels intentionally designed for timeless wedding imagery.
First Look/Touch
There was no first look at Lizzette and Andrew’s wedding, but instead, they shared a first touch—and it was truly one of the most emotional moments of the day.
Standing just around the corner from one another, unable to see each other yet feeling everything, they held hands and took a quiet moment together before the ceremony. It was raw, intimate, and incredibly meaningful. You could feel the anticipation, the nerves, and the love all at once. Moments like this are a powerful reminder that emotion is everything.
